Hello,
Max Mazoch is an independent journalist covering the environment and politics in Austin, Texas. His work has been published by KXAN and Reporting Texas.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Max is interested in stories that explore the intersection of people, policy and the environment in his home state. Most recently, he worked with KXAN Investigates, where he reported on Texas’s lack of transparency surrounding data center water consumption.
Max is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Texas’s School of Journalism and Media and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Southwestern University.
Outside of work and class, he enjoys exploring Austin and the surrounding outdoors, playing guitar and staying active through a variety of sports.
